23rd International Conference on Advances in Materials and Processing Technology - AMPT 2022



After more than two years of uncertainty and COVID restrictions, the 23rd International Conference on Advances in Materials and Processing Technology – AMPT 2022 finally took place, organized in Portorož, Slovenia, by IMT. Originally it was planned for 2020, but due to the COVID pandemic, we had to postpone it twice, but finally, we were able to meet again, exchange our research results and ideas and, above all, do networking.

The Advances in Materials and Processing Technologies (AMPT) conference series provides a forum for academics, researchers, and practising engineers. It aims to bring them together to meet, exchange and share their experiences, research results, information and ideas on all aspects of materials and processing technologies. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in this field. The AMPT conference series was founded in 1990 at Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland, and since then, being held in many different countries around the globe. After being cancelled in 2020, in October 2022 (10.-14.10.), for the first time AMPT conference was held along the beautiful Adriatic – Mediterranean coast of Slovenia in Congress Centre Bernardin, Portorož, located in the municipality of historical-Venetian style town of Piran. The conference was attended by around 100 participants, supported by 5 Sponsors and Exhibitors. During the course of the conference, scientific results were provided in the form of 5 invited talks, 60 oral presentations and 15 posters. AMPT Organizing and steering committee thanks all authors and attendees for their active contribution to making AMPT2022 conference a success.
