Research interests
- Advanced metallic materials, with emphasis on microstructure–property relationships, including heat treatment and surface engineering of high-performance alloys

- Tribology and contact mechanics, with focus on wear mechanisms and improvement of tribological performance through coatings and surface engineering

- Mechanical integrity of materials and surface layers, including fatigue, fracture and creep behaviour;

- Advanced processing and modification techniques, such as deep cryogenic treatment and additive manufacturing;

- Hydrogen–material interactions and effect on material properties.
