Invited lecture: Prof George E. Totten

On May 25 2015 Prof.dr. George E. Totten, research professor from Portland State University (USA) visited IMT and gave a lecture on “Survey of heat treatment - from the basics to the industrial needs and limitations”.

Prof. G.E. Totten has over 35 years of experience in a wide range of research topics, both in technical work and market development. His most recent work is focused on metalworking fluids and quenchants and heat treatment. Prof. Totten was a past president of the International Federation of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering. He has authored or edited over 30 books and conference proceedings. In addition he has 16 patents and approximately 600 journal and technical papers, book chapters and conference papers.
