	Scope of the Conference JVC-10 is the 10th anniversary meeting of the established series of Joint Vacuum Conferences, which are organised at two-years intervals, in turns, by the Austrian, the Croatian, the Hungarian and the Slovenian national vacuum societies. This year we are joined by the national vacuum societies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The JVC meetings give scientists the opportunity to present their research and technological developments in the fields of: vacuum science and technology and applications that involve vacuum as an environment for: surface science and applications thin films and interfaces coatings and surface engineering nanotechnology biotechnology plasma science and techniques electronic materials The participants are invited to present their recent scientific achievements and results in oral or poster presentations. The scientific programme of the conference will also incorporate acknowledged experts as plenary and invited speakers. During the conference an exhibition of the vacuum research equipment will be organised. We are inviting the interested companies to participate at this exhibition.
